He’s an agitator. It’s always been a part of his game. It’s difficult to watch. I wish he’d channel that energy by just focusing on his skillful play and God given talent.
We can beat the Timberwolves. Houston was a tough, physical series. The team was on a adrenaline high after winning the series. Away from family, friends and girlfriends. So the whole focus was beat Minn. for game 1. They did that without Steph. Game 2 they were mentally done and hit a wall. New life when they come back to the Bay and the Timberwolves know that....welcome to the jungle baby!
23 is great. He handles the ball very well, he makes good decisions, and he passes better than anyone else in the league. Further, his footwork and timing when he drives the lane, are impeccable -- definitely in the 95th percentile in the league. He's a tough defender, and gets a lot of important rebounds. Finally, when a shot absolutely must be made, quite often he's making it.
(And he's likeable.)
He's a little fiery. However, this is athletic genius we're looking at. Just be happy that he's not cutting his ear off, and offering it as a snack to one of those idiot refs who look like they make up the rules as the games go along.
Tonight, the game was lost because the shooting was off. Really off. This was a sign of mental fatigue.
The team had a tough game in Houston, and then two nights later, and two nights ago, played outside of themselves in a tough game in Minneapolis. The team looked a little tired. But this team, top to bottom, is better than Minnesota. And this should show up back home in two nights.
