Lowell, I watched the congressional hearings where the presidents of (I think) Cornell, Harvard, and MIT were asked if calls for the genocide of Jews was racist or anti-Semitic. The response was "It depends on the context." Then there was me screaming at the TV for someone to ask the question that no one asked. That question is, "In what context is it not racist or anti-Semitic?" I am waiting for the answer to that question.
My father told me a story about applying to Harvard in the early 1940s. He said he was turned down and was told it was because they had their "quota of Jews" for that year. I guess Harvard has returned to its roots of Northeastern elitist, casual anti-Semitism. He went to MIT instead.
I was a lifelong Democrat before moving to Thailand in 2009, but this is among the reasons I would never vote for them again . I think Trump's whole tariff thing is wacky and destructive, but I support him FULLY on the border issue and about anti-Semitism and terrorist supporters on campuses.
Continuing my comment which was inadvertently cut off.
Or at the very least one of a minuscule minority. Despite crosses and images of Jesus in every classroom and some of my professors being priests, I was treated with kindness and respect, not a hint of antisemitism. This was in the late 60s at the height of the Vietnam War. Times have certainly changed. Not a Trump fan, but I hope he brings the hammer down on Yale and all the other uppity schools that condone and probably support antisemitism.
Eisenhower suspected Holocaust denial and made it necessary to film and photograph the death camps. Today we are seeing this. These morons--an apt name--have no decency, and the best solution is to withhold all funding and arrest and book anyone causing disruption. I too find it sickening and am glad I no longer have to attend college. Jews are easy scapegoats because their numbers are so small. Yet in so many areas, Jews excel and many idiots find it convenient to pick on them. And I strongly believe envy plays a part. Plus they read so much nonsensical garbage about how the Jews are trying to take over our government, banks, the media, the world, and on-and-on. Plus, not all Jews like Israel's policies. Yet being in a rotten neighborhood with so many thugs around you can lead to it.
Human nature also has a tendency to be tribal and hurtful. So many need their acceptance validated by being this way. I'm totally with you Lowell, and we fellow landsmen need to speak out. Thanks for doing this.
I am thankful my kids got through college without becoming morons
You can’t stop Anti-Semitism. The gentiles have noticed the parasite attached to their side.

Holocaust deniers, no doubt. Pathetic. And they pretend to prepare these young people as future leaders. it’s a scary thought.
Insane what is allowed at these universities…… better not get another dollar.
Perfectly stated😢

I went to Loyola University in Chicago, a Jesuit University. I may have been the only Jew on campus.

Ike may have been our greatest president of the Twentieth Century.
